Yes, Brian Spaeth Is My Boyfriend

Well, we had been trying to keep it on the low-low, because it's kind of taboo for two sports bloggers to be dating each other. But it looks like the Phoenix New Times will probably be outing us in their next cover story, so I'd rather people hear it from me first. Yes, Alana G and Brian Spaeth are indeed a hot item! This has been going on for some time. It's the reason I had such a large acting role in Who Shot Mamba? and why I figure prominently in Brian's new book Prelude to a Super Airplane.

You can read all about us making out on Brian's blog.

Enrico!!!! I didn't mean for you to find out about it like this. You're still my number one Philly side-jaune.

Thought Boris Diaw was your boyfriend? Heh.

Je T'aime, says:
Hating on Alana G? Nobody likes a sanctimonious "Yardbarker." Besides it's her who's doing the hating on another female journalist (tho Alana hardly qualifies, based on her resume). It's one lousy mistake, Ms. Nguyen, and you appoint yourself cop and executioner. By the way, Alana G, is this you(you asked us to google you)? If it is, I can see how you got started in "journalism."

Alana Nguyen couldn't resist. "I thought he was so cute," she said.

So, the 24-year-old woman woke up early Sunday morning and drove 2 1/2
hours from Norwalk, Conn., to see Hawks first-round pick Boris Diaw play
an 11 o'clock game at UMass-Boston. Nguyen sat behind the Hawks bench,
holding up a sign that read "Boris Je T'aime," which means "Boris, I
Love You" in French.

She also cheered on the 6-foot-8 swingman as he concluded the Reebok
Pro Summer League with his most complete game --- eight points, seven
assists, six rebounds and two blocked shots.

"I might have to move to Atlanta," Nguyen said with a laugh.
